ANCIENT CLASSICAL TRADITION
Ancient Indian Ascetics living in the forest discovered the sounds of the universe, and classified them into morning ragas, afternoon ragas, midnight ragas. This form was fused with the Muslim slower call to prayer and ancient compositions, resulting in a much longer sustained-note alap section, with reverence to the One who creates All Sound.
COSMIC SOUNDS
This is the Classical Music of North Indian (not Carnatic). A fusion of Hindu and Muslim handed down from generations from Guru to Disciple. No other music of the East can be found where Hindus sing Muslim compositions and Muslims sing Hindu compositions.

What College Students Are Saying
KARA
“It was just…so gorgeous…and mesmerizing, …I liked the energy between the two performers. I don’t know, it was just really beautiful. I’m a big fan of Indian music, but I’d never seen a live show before, so…that was really cool. Kara

"It’s so complex…exciting….very beautiful and soothing. I think all of us need to be exposed to things other than what we’re used to. It made feel very relaxed. It was moving, very moving. The style of the music wasn’t something that I’m used to. It gives you a spiritual peace, I feel, and it was moving."

“It was very exciting. We had a pretty good attendance today. It takes a lot for people to really sit down and to be tranquil. Because a lot of us run around in our daily lives and have all these problems, and these issues, and to actually sit down and listen to the beauty of the music…it really makes the spirit wander. And you can’t necessarily do that with a lot of stuff. And a lot of the music that we hear, I mean, there’s all kinds of music, but it was really beautiful to sit down. And not only listen to the music, but listen to the sounds in your body..kind of. . .so it was beautiful. Thank you for coming.”
